A boy of 21, set out to do the impossible. Something that Sultans of the past could not do in 62 years. A victory achieved, a dream realized, a prophecy fulfilled. Filled with blood and mud, the conqueror sat on the throne. The walls were high but not as high as his sight. This was just a beginning, a beginning of the glorious Ottoman Empire, a beginning of Kayser – i Rum.
As befitting as this title was back then, the new original fragrance by dynamic duo of Ovais Saleem and Anas Sabrani is just as befitting tribute to that sublime victory five centuries ago.
Kayser – i rum starts off with strong jab of oakmoss which fortunately is cushioned by the glove of sweet and spicy saffron. Soon, an elegant sweet rose shows up leading into the heart of fragrance where the protagonist of our tale recides, the combodian oud. Combodian oud used here is slightly dry, slightly sweet with a beautiful woody undertone. Soon the note of civet, which was lurking in the shadow, comes forward giving whole concoction a slightly dirty and edgy touch. Apart from that i noticed an unmistakable minty tone which can be felt through out the life of the fragrance. Overall, development from a punchy green opening to a woody minty tone is absolutely mesmerizing.
Strange as it may sound but there is a definite contradiction between what my nose gets and what is written on the notes card. Either this is the proof that Kayser is extremely well blended or I’m a laymen who just couldn’t tell his lime from the lemon.
Overall, it is always a treat to experience the work of our brilliant young perfumer. And kayser – i rum is one of his finest works, offering a basket full of naturals embedded in a complex but mass pleasing composition.

As you spray from the atomizer, you start to wonder man what is this …. wow … the richness, the punch, the depth is impeccable. I can vouch the ingredients used are of high quality. Lets talk about the scent profile and how it evolves … i wont speak about the top, heart and base note because this throws at you all the things together u will get everything up your nose according to their rate of diffusibility. I will list what my nose perceived from start to dry down : a hint of leather, rose, jasmine (indian – have sniffed this material before ), cypriol, patchouli (earthy one), sandalwood, combodian oud and civet… I love how the sandalwood wraps around everything and give such lactonic smoothness to all the moving parts … The dry down has a beautiful twist of civet ,oud and sandalwood… warm, comforting and smooth ..
This is such an addictive drug man … but its all subjective i wont recommend anyone blindbuying this … Ovais Saleem I need a backup for this one bro …

To me it does not travel from layer to layer rather it starts with a beautiful blend of Rose, Jasmine, sandalwood, earthy patchouli and oud (what my immature nose is getting) and stays there like this. You can smell whatever you want out of above mentioned notes – phase in / phase out button is in your hand. Wow.

Amazing work done with Oud Combodi. Almost a mass pleasing scent IMO, a beautiful concoction of very light florals, dry/dusty patchouli, some mintyness, incense, civit, musk and Oud Combodi.
Everything is blended so perfectly that its hard to detect any notes separately. Its complex with great depth to it. The combination of dry caramelized Oud Combodi with animalic civit musk gives this fragrance such an edge. It really is getting so much more smoother with time ❤️

I have always been quite skeptical about Local House creations but Keyser e rum have been a talk of town from last couple of weeks so decided to jump on hype Bandwagone.
While testing a fragrance i normally decide after 1 hour of wearing whether i am going for a bottle or just pass it ..I sprayed it just before maghrib and the verdict came withing a minute..
Keyser comprises of cambodi oud embedded with exotic florals and saffron(thats what i have perceived so far as its my first wearing) beautifully without a particular ingredient being too loud and punjent takes it to whole new level and enough to satiate your oud cravings..
Complex yet a very mass pleasing scent..
Guys get the bottle till the stock lasts because trust me the hype is pretty much real!!
Massive appreciation to the duo Anas Sabrani and Ovais Saleem for this magnificent piece of work..Bravo lads !!

I personally believe two statements when it comes to Oud more so in their purest forms.
One is that Oud has such a character that it can never be tamed due to its wild natural existence. Hence the undeniable mystery that surrounds it resulting in the exorbitant prices and sky-high demand.
And secondly, you never wear oud, it wears you! Just like creating a perfume with precious Oud oils is a delicate collaboration between the perfumer and nature, wearing it also warrants a certain kind of confidence and a special relationship between the wearer and the scent itself that demands respect and commands acknowledgment of the wild ingredient in discussion. So there is that sweet surrender on the part of the wearer that is the key ingredient in keeping that relationship a budding one!
If you acknowledge both these perspectives, there is no way you will not fall in love with Oud and discover the beauty it hides.
This original showstopper by Anas Sabrani and Ovais Saleem under GAIA Parfums banner is one such delicate and delectable beauty that I got the chance to put my nose to. Orientals at their best is how I will describe it.
A complex yet beautiful amalgamation of Oud Cambodi, Damask and Indian rose, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Jasmine, Cypriol, Resin, Civet and Musk is to die for. Made with natural/organic ingredients, this somewhat dry, woody and earthy blend with a slight raw animalic or some may even call it, dirty undertones due to the Civet will take all your senses on a historical journey as the name indicates. A real treat for the olfactory palate!
Rose and Oud combo may be a dime a dozen but this one is different. The naturals are so wonderfully blended in such a delicate balance that it leaves the wearer in awe. In a nutshell, this is a must have for oriental and Oud lovers. Another feather in the already loaded cap of both Sabrani and Ovais!

I knew i was gonna get a bottle as soon as i sprayed the sample Ovais Saleem sent me.
I am a sucker for new oud blends and i must say i am really proud of my friends whonare creating amazing oud blends.
All the notes are blended really well and this is something that you will fall in love from the first spray. The rose, oud, sandalwood, civet and cyrol are notable. Im enjoying every single second of this beautiful blend.
